Chris Dowling is one of Ireland's most successful live tournament players and, as of early 2026, has won over $1.5 million in live poker tournaments — putting him 13th on Ireland's all-time money list.

Known for his love of cash games, Chris is a stalwart of the Irish poker scene and a well-respected player both at home and overseas. He's played every Irish Open Main Event since 2009, cashed in the Main Event five times, and finished third in 2017 — one of the best results of his live career.
In 2025 he won his first Irish Open trophy — the Big O Championship for €6,850. He followed it up in 2026 by winning the inaugural €3,000 Cuatro PLO High Roller for €46,175 including bounties. He's also an Irish Open Ambassador, helping promote the festival to players around the world.
